Types of Rain- Sustainable Rain, Mountain Rain, Cyclonic Rainआर्द्रता के विभिन्न रूपों में वर्षा हमारे लिए सबसे उपयोगी और महत्वपूर्ण है। पृथ्वी पर तीन प्रकार की वर्षा होती है- 1. संवहनीय वर्षा 2. पर्वतीय वर्षा 3.चक्रवाती वर्षा।
Rainfall is most useful and important for us in various forms of humidity. There are three types of rainfall on the Earth- 1. Sustainable Rain 2. Mountain Rain 3. Cyclonic Rain.
1. संवहनीय वर्षा- गर्म प्रदेशों में और समुद्रतटीय भागों में समुद्रों व अन्य जलाशयों से तेज गर्मी के कारण पानी, भाप ( वाष्प ) बनता है। यह वाष्प गर्म हवाओं के साथ ऊपर काफी ऊंचाई पर पहुँच कर संघनित होकर बूँदों के रूप में बरसती है। इस क्रिया को 'संवहन' कहते हैं। इसीलिए ऐसी वर्षा को संवहनीय वर्षा कहते हैं।
1. Sustainable Rainfall - Water, steam (vapor) is formed due to high heat from the oceans and other reservoirs in hot regions and in coastal areas. This vapor reaches a very high altitude with hot winds and condenses and rains in the form of droplets. This action is called 'convection'. That is why such rainfall is called sustainable rainfall.
2. पर्वतीय वर्षा- समुद्र से स्थल की ओर चलने वाली वाष्प प्रयुक्त हवाओं की दिशा में जब पर्वत आ जाते हैं तो हवाएँ पर्वतों के सहारे ऊपर उठने लगती हैं । अधिक ऊँचाई पर पहुँचने पर हवाएँ ठण्डी होकर पर्वतों पर वर्षा करती है। इसे ही पर्वतीय वर्षा कहते हैं। ऐसी वर्षा अधिकतर मानसूनी और पछुआ हवाओं के क्षेत्रों में होती है। पर्वतों के वर्षा वाले भाग के विपरीत भाग में वर्षा या तो होती नहीं या कम होती है।अतः पर्वत के ऐसे भाग को 'वृष्टिछाया प्रदेश' कहते हैं। भारत में पश्चिमी घाट के पश्चिम तटीय क्षेत्रों में पर्वतीय वर्षा खूब होती है, जबकि इसके पूर्वी भाग में वर्षा कम होती है, यह वृष्टिछाया प्रदेश कहलाता हैं।
2. Mountain Rain - When the mountains come in the direction of the winds used to move from the sea towards the site, the winds start to rise with the help of the mountains. On reaching a higher altitude, the winds cool down and rain on the mountains. This is called mountain rain. Such rainfall mostly occurs in the areas of monsoon and westerly winds. Unlike the rainy part of the mountains, there is no rain or less rainfall in the opposite part. Therefore, such part of the mountain is called 'Vrishti Chhaya Pradesh'. The western coastline of the Western Ghats in India receives a lot of mountainous rainfall, while the rainfall is less in its eastern part, it is known as the rainforest region.
3. चक्रवाती वर्षा- गर्म और ठण्डी हवाओं के मिलने पर गर्म हवाएँ ऊपर की ओर उठती है और ठण्डी हवाएँ चारों ओर से उस कम दबाव के क्षेत्र की ओर दौड़ती है। पृथ्वी की गति के कारण ये हवाएँ गोलाई में घूमती हुई चक्करदार होते हैं, ऐसी हवाओं को चक्रवात कहते हैं। चक्रवात में मध्य की हवाएँ ऊपर उठकर ठण्डी होने पर वर्षा करती है। इसे चक्रवाती वर्षा कहते हैं। शीत ऋतु में पश्चिमोत्तर भारत में चक्रवाती वर्षा होती है।
3. Cyclonic Rainfall - When hot and cold winds meet, warm winds rise upwards and cool winds run around that low pressure area. Due to the movement of the earth, these winds are rotating in the rounding, such winds are called cyclones. In a cyclone, the middle winds rise and rain when it cools down. This is called cyclonic rain. Cyclonic rainfall occurs in northwest India during the winter season.
