उपग्रह (Satellite) - ये ऐसे अकाशीय पिंड होते हैं, जो अपने ग्रह की परिक्रमा करने के साथ-साथ सूर्य की परिक्रमा भी करते हैं। प्रकृति द्वारा निर्मित उपग्रह 'प्राकृतिक उपग्रह' कहलाते हैं। इनमें अपनी स्वयं की चमक या प्रकाश नहीं होता है। यह भी ग्रहों की भांति सूर्य या तारों के प्रकाश से ही प्रकाशित होते हैं। हमारे सौरमंडल में सबसे अधिक उपग्रह वाला ग्रह बृहस्पति है। बुध एवं शुक्र ऐसे ग्रह हैं, जिनका कोई भी उपग्रह नहीं है। हमारी पृथ्वी का भी एक प्राकृतिक उपग्रह 'चंद्रमा' है।
